Snowcrazed71
I'll tell you what.... it's fun watching all this unfold ( even though I'm going to miss it all ) We're leaving around 3:00 in the morning tonight for Canada and we'll be back on Tuesday. So I'll miss the snow, and then I'll miss the rain ( which will be melting some of the snow away ). But my gut is not all the snow will be melted as the temperatures don't look to be super warm when it rains on Sunday night. I guess I'll see you when I get back. Hopefully they'll be something next weekend. I'm still glad to see there's a good thump of snow coming for Connecticut and all my peeps on here. I'll live vicariously through your posts.. lol 2
Sey-Mour Snow
Actually upon further inspection I think plowable gets to about 1 mile south of Methuen should see about 40/70 % cirrus clouds there. 4

ORH_wxman
Icon and Rgem look very similar to 12z. Rgem might have been a hair NE with the heaviest stuff and icon a hair SW.

ORH_wxman
This is gonna be a crazy battle between the mid and upper level support for heavy snow and the obscene dry arctic air to the northeast. I’m looking at several different models right now and almost all of them are punching some serious lift, fronto, and dPVA well into SNE, but the further northeast you go, it just fights that ridiculous low level arctic air. There’s gonna be crazy Virga on the northeast side. Prob the type of system where you have Virga under 15-20 dbz returns. 2

If we get into that fronto omega than we should do fine but otherwise it’s as you said. Virga.
OrangeCTWX
A little concerned about how quickly the heavy stuff moves through not going to lie. It could be 2-3 hours of the good stuff and then just light snow after? Maybe I’m just being paranoid lol

Heavy snow for 3 hours is going to give you like a quick 4-5” and then you grab a couple on either side of it, there’s your warning event. People shouldn’t be expecting double digits in this. They might happen, but probably because banding was even stronger than anticipated and you never know quite where the best bands will set up.
