I think John Henry purchased the atmosphere to replace the Penguins in the FSG portfolio..... #interestkings

He's reached the ceiling i believe on his sox investment, They're not going to do much of anything, At least bring Bregman back.

I do have some glimmer of hope that selling the Pens will afford them a bit more investment in the Sox, but they will probably just pocket it and buy giant golden dildos for their wives-

Twitter is pretty useless for weather. I was thinking about posting on there this winter but not sure I’m going to. Lots of hype. You’ll get that anywhere on social media but it’s especially pervasive where people scroll quickly and you want clicks.

Let me know if you decide to. It would be a worthy follow

He had his resources spread over to many sport groups, But where can you go with the Sox? It seats 35,000 and ticket sales and concessions is where most of the money comes from besides media, Pretty much capped unless you start charging $25 for a hot dog as well as $30 beers.

Its a cesspool for weather...absolutely horrible. Believe it or not though, I think its actually worse for severe weather than it is in winter weather. The severe weenies on there are awful

Ive started to realize twitter is a cesspool for everything. If you want to see the most extreme, one sided, and inaccurate ends of anything just open the app.

Then do it if it gets them to spend.

Or even build a giant golden dildo-shaped spaceship to put their wives in?

This might be impossible but... are there any good social media Mets to follow? Specifically on twitter.

This forum is the best local/new england weather forecasting resource on the interwebs, by far.

The combination of skilled experienced mets and super enthusiastic amateurs analyzing data and discussing possibilities provide the best analysis and forecasting that one can reasonably access, even if cluttered with OT stuff.

Kudos to all who contribute to this resource, I've found no better.

I trust Will and Scott over any OCM now that Harv is gone.

First of all, I think some of the guidance exaggerated the blocking...especially a couple of days ago. Secondly, -NAO doesn't matter if your arctic flow is cut-off, which it will be with the lower heights building over AK to counter the Bering ridge. Finally, and this goes along with #1....I think guidance not only exaggerated the amplitude of the blocking, but the extent to which it will retrograde into a favorable position, and east-based "thumb-ridges" are far less impactful for the east.

Man 6z euro AI saves winter.

6z operational GFS looks winter friendly at 500 mb/evolution into the first days of Jan ( night and day to the 0z run, actually - ).  However, the sfc evolution left something to be desired. I figure if its evolution in the deep layer is closer to reality, that's correcting most likely.

The problem is, it's every other run with these guidance.  It's the same shit as the last 6 days of guidance peregrinations, frankly.  No sense even reacting to the cinema  ...people still will though.

Big parked remarkably persistent mega height node, all ensemble systems, smack between the WPO and EPO domains in the N. Pac., while the easterly biased NAO pulsates ...it's leaving almost no pattern signal in between.  So we're probably in the worst predictive hole we've been in in years.

Agreed 100%.  That's why I've been following some of these guys around the internet for 26+ years. Since the days of Wright Weather BBS.  And the addition of new blood to the mix has only made things even better.

That's a pretty sick looking line moving thru Eastern NY.

Was even sharper about 9 AM, with some 70 dbz pixels.  I'm guessing it will be more d9iffuse before it reaches our longitude.  Little wind here so far.

Fog rolled in and the temp jumped 5° (35 to 40) in about 30 minutes. 10 AM at IZG was 36, inversion holding there but it can't last.

I think Henry is realizing it’s not super profitable to own sports teams.  The value is tied to selling the team, not in operating it.

That 2004 winning payroll was like the equivalent of $200mm payroll in today’s present dollars.  He’s a businessman, not a competitor unfortunately.  It definitely sucks.
