Your area modeled for most ..50 or so . We’ll see . This one actually favors NNE and especially NW NE. More typical than this summer was. Dendy should get a good drink

I’ll take the under. We’ve been getting porked the past six weeks.

Greenfield got lucky with a very isolated downpour two weeks ago that dropped over a half inch but it’s dry, the rivers are very low.

0.36" for August.  That was all fun and games but I don't want a repeat.

A lot of older trees have shriveling leaves. I’ve never seen that before here. Maples, birches, forsythia, ash, chestnuts…

I had about 3.8" rain for July/Aug which is dry for this part of New England.  I know some surrounding Franklin Co. towns are lower than that.

Coming down Rt 2 tonight I could see premature leaf fade and droop, especially in that Fitchburg to Hubbardston corridor.  There was also a few red lit swamp maples.

Sad to see the hummers making their final preps for migration but always glad to be of assistance to the coolest birds in town. It’s a long haul across the GoM to Central America so every sip counts for the little speedsters.

Looks like a mild and boring month coming up.

I hope we can squeeze out some decent rain events this month. There’s a lot of dry patches starting to pop up in non-shaded areas. Perhaps the tropics can deliver a few goodies to us?

Almost looks similar to last year in some ways with lots of high pressure around. Hopefully enough moisture surges from the south to help deliver moisture.
