TauntonBlizzard2013
I tore my calf completely in half playing softball in July 24, and went skiing in January 25. Wasn’t fully ready yet, very sore and bruised the next day, so that was done for the year. Now fully healed, and hoping to get some more runs in this year. Side note: absolutely awful injury. I didn’t rehab properly, as I should have. I went to have it tested, and when I found out it wasn’t my Achilles, I figured rest would be fine, I should have done PT. I could t walk right for months, and I think it permanently altered my walk.
Layman
Drove up to Bretton Woods on Wednesday to kick off our season with riding on Thursday. The drive up was an adventure. 38 and cloudy at the house but temps dropped quickly by the Tilton/Franklin area. Snow picked up in earnest around Plymouth and by the time we hit Franconia Notch the roads were untouched by plows. Cleared up a bit on route 3 and 302 with temps jumping back up to 30. The hotel was nice and festive with all the decorations. Definitely busier than I was expecting for a Wednesday night. There were three full bus loads of people there for something. Thursday on the slopes was great. Excellent conditions, no ice to speak of, plenty of 8”-10” powder on the side of the trails. In and out of snow, wind and sun all day. A really good start to the season!
GCWarrior
Mount Snow was pretty darn good today. Plenty of snow up on the hill. Patrol dropped some ropes. Only one picture for us, way too cold and too much fun for pictures..

Boston Bulldog Posted yesterday at 08:57 PM Share Posted yesterday at 08:57 PM Sad about this incoming rain. The footage coming out of the Notch, Big Jay etc from this past Friday is as insane as I’ve ever seen out of the East. Hopefully we lock in the base and continue to build

I'm hopeful after Friday's torch we can start building up again Christmas Week. I'm heading to Killington for New Years so fingers crossed!
