July 2025 Obs/Disco ... possible historic month for heat

Look at this EIR GIF loop.  Within a decaying MCS anvil area, three distinct new cells simultaneously blow up?  Don't see that too often in these parts.  You would think the elevated instability would have been largely used up.  Associated w/ a weak s/w at 700/500.

Night of yore in many areas near and especially SoP. Haven’t seen a show like that in awhile. I’ll take the 1.2” and that’s a stein compared to double just a few miles away.

.90 overnight now up to 1.26 for the month with more coming this morning. I hate rain but it was needed. Also knocked the temperatures down to the '60s for the first time since I don't know when.

1.47” from that beast last night and 4.58” MTD.

So far this month reminds of that summer 3 years ago where we had so many storms and dews

Looked like  some decent rotation over your area for a bit as storms came through last night.

0.60” here. Our new dog woke me at 5:30 to go out.  Caught in some of it. She wasn’t pleased.

I didn’t hear any thunder

Same. Things already look greener though with that drink.

It was non stop flashes to the South last night, quite the heat lightning show.
