I was looking more ahead past the 12th. Next week won't be hot, but dews will creep in.

yeah that heat signal we were noticing the other day seems to be getting lost in the shuffle.   may just be typical summer flaccidity sending random codes to the silos so to speak...

Mini split installs the next two days here.

hopefully next year I will have the $$ saved for the mini split install. the big window one in the living room is getting awfully heavy for my old ass to be hauling down from the attic every spring

We had one 14,700 btu wall unit and 3-7,500btu window shakers we had to lug in and out of the windows and stored them in the shed ea year, I had enough of that, I'm an old man......lol

Ain't scared, that's a nice look.

Come on Steve, you got a pool....throw a doggie in the water and do the doggie paddle.

I have been in my pool every non rainy day since the first week of May sadly the 66 degree water temp high is 60 today but tolerable and going up quick.  The cold water immersion therapy is great but getting old.

Sad story, Yesterday, They found the body of the father and today they found the body of the daughter that died hiking Kathadin Sunday..........:(

It would be interesting to know the cause of death since temperatures were not absurdly cold.

Old timer story, back in the day my older brother had a black Volkswagen beetle. When he wasn't around I would hotwire it  and drive a bunch of my friends around a backfield. When it would run out of gas there was still enough gas to run the heater (The heater ran on gas without the engine running) we would roll up the windows and see how hot we could get. Little boys, never smart no matter the generation.

Someone that had summit Kahtadin on Sunday after hiking the Appalachian trail said conditions were bad with snow/sleet and very strong winds.

"Baxter State Park director Kevin Adam said the weather at Mount Katahdin on Sunday was cloudy with rain, sleet, and winds reaching 30 to 40 miles per hour. Similar conditions were reported on Monday, he said.

Sunday was cold, remember I was showing Mansfield was low-30s with strong wind and it’s a good 1000ft lower than Katahdin.  That night was cold too.
