cyclone77
I always wanted to know what it would be like at the top of Mt Washington. Luckily these winds the past several months have shown me a shining example of it. 1

Oh I agree! I dont like the warmth either. I just meant considering the 90s for days to our west, squeezing into the low 80s was nothing here

DTW is now a low-humidity 82F, so today will be the hottest day of this warm week where everything impressive temp-wise hit to our north and northwest. Just as crazy, if not crazier is that Minneapolis has been warmer than Paducah this month. No idea what is happening to our climate, but it isn't good, that's for sure. Paducah will be in the 80s and Minneapolis the 60s next week though. High of 53 today with scattered wind driven light rain. Drove to Des Moines this afternoon. Wicked 40mph crosswind the whole drive.
Torchageddon
This evenings storms came early, multi-cluster at 11:30. Just like that one Apr event, lightning and thunder started tame but as the cells lerched NE my temp was dropping so the t/td spread narrowed and the lightning got more intense with climax once again at 12:45 am lol. I would call it 2 distinct rounds but it seemed to drag on. Frequent lightning.
