When you have the out of region heavy hitters watching and posting, you know you have something legit on your hands. These early cells look intense. Still watching that one west of Hagerstown. Hail look to that one now with another big cell developing north just over the MD/PA border.

At 141 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Greenwood,
moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. Hail is large
         enough to dent and damage vehicles. Some hail damage to
         roofs, siding, and windows is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Martinsburg, Greenwood, Ranson, Inwood, Kearneysville, Berkeley,
Falling Waters, Shenandoah Junction, Hedgesville, Winebrenners Cross,

* Until 245 PM EDT.

* At 156 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near
  Wilson-Conococheague, or near Hagerstown, moving east at 40 mph.

  moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

  IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches
           to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as
           damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by

Right.  I would doubt those that DO get hammered by any storms are going to say the threat was overblown or "complaining" about a bust, despite many others perhaps not getting anything too bad.  Not the same animal as a large-scale snow event that underperforms almost everywhere.
