Been weak sauce in terms of storms here all night and now day. Have had occasional strong wind gusts to maybe 40-45 but not very consistent at all to this point

If you're north, like me, don't sleep on the stuff out west near Hagerstown. Should move east along the PA/MD line

The cell in PG really has some staying power with it.  Solid straight line wind signature and now a decent spike in VIL.  Impressive.

Let's not sleep on the southern end of that line in WV.  Per SPC mesoanalysis, there is a tongue of ~2,000 SBCAPE and a little boundary near Leesburg.  That could beef the line up pretty quickly.

brief heavy rain and a little wind.  I'm glad to have missed the worst part of that line.

Not really...a good thunderstorm with all the ingredients except for the wind...30-35mph maybe with the storm.

Maybe the cell south of Warrenton has a chance. Will eventually be moving into sunny areas where I’m assuming parameters have rebounded.

Seems to be slowly getting its act together.

Yea. Seemed like just a decent thunderstorm up this way. Nothing crazy.

LWX going with the big warning polygons.

probably best when little inflow notches keep popping up and disappearing. lots of low level rotation within the line.

Just north of Bealeton, cell is definitely firing up. Inflow galore.

Lightning picking up on the southern edge of the line.  It's just now starting to enter the better environment so the next 40 to 45 min will be key to see if it has any staying power.

Watch tail end charlies on the line...got a hail marker on it and the lightning is going pretty good with it.

Interesting trade off as the line moves east.     It's moving in to way better instability, but the good wind fields are quickly moving off to the east, and the low level flow is veering.  Storm-relative helicity will therefore be dropping as the line approaches the DC-Baltimore area,  so the tornado threat is decreasing, but the wind threat is likely increasing.    That said, despite the decreasing shear, it still could be sufficient for some rotation within the line.

Getting real dark.  Lots of thunder to the west.

What just went through here was meh at best. Couple claps of thunder and put me over 1" for the day. Looks like the energy is on both ends not so much the middle. Bright blue skies behind.
