I'm not petty enough to take a pic and prove it but its just now starting to barely stick to trees. The grass is still mostly wet off of Haywood in West Asheville

same here in Boone. the ground is so wet that everything is melting, so mulchy areas and some grassy surfaces are sticking a tiny bit but that's it.

But you are petty enough to call an event a bust before it starts.

Look at LiquidBud post in main thread. Unless it starts ripping soon your forecast is going to bust big time. Pride comes before the fall young man

I know it isn't but you have to see the signs that this is not trending well for snow lovers. I am just disappointed.

His forecast is now in line with nearly everyone else's. Quit being such a contrarian and sit this one out.

Alright, massive change in the last 20 minutes l, snow sticking much more and feels colder.  Ground turning white rapidly with pretty heavy rates currently.

Noticed in the other thread that a poster in Chatanooga said it has dropped 3 degrees in the last hour. It's coming.

I’ve got about .75” here. He should have the same if not more.

My brother outside of Glenville has a solid inch so he’s on par with you!

Those radar returns in nw ga look impressive, I’ll admit it’s been kinda disappointing so but it change and add up in a hurry.

Yeah, might have to get above 3500'  to get some accumulation.

down to 38.1 here.

.03" have fallen. Just need some heavier rates to get this going here.

That is a 6 degree drop since 12:15.

I've only dropped 3 degrees since 7 am. I'm waiting

That's interesting. All of the temperature stations I've seen in Maggie are between 28-32.

Maybe I need a new thermometer. But my back deck never gets sun in winter and it's just wet. Starting to lay on the trees and cars tho.

The micro climates in our area is interesting. Just a mile or two in distance can make a huge difference in precip and temperatures.
