Visibility down to 50 yards I'd say.  Most impressive squall I've seen in awhile.

I’ve never seen anything like what we got this afternoon was a site to see

Staten Island's Mesonet site is reporting 15°F, Td of -5°F, winds from the west at 18 mph with 35 mph gusts, and a wind chill of -2°F.

Absolutely frigid right now, can't wait for tomorrow morning :shiver:

A little less than 1/8th of an inch here, rounded it to 0.1”.

0.6” now for met winter, 4.9” counting November.

Curious to see what we bottom out at.

I think the city has a shot at low single digits. Even that little bit of of snow helps. And 50 miles NW of the city it’s full on glacier.

Yeah, low single digits is a lock, if the RGEM is right, 0° is possible.

I'm down to 9F, really great drop pace.

Forecast is 3F, my coldest so far this year has been 4F so it'll be interesting to see where it ends up.

I was wondering what that weird radar return was over northern NJ, it’s a huge fire at a paper plant in elm wood

Marcal paper plant off RT 80 is on fire. 7 alarm fire I just read.

I know someone who works for Marcal, but he wasn't there today.

It’s snowing in the bronx

11 degrees

You sure? I just checked radar and it appears to be from the Marcal Paper fire in Elmwood Park, NJ. Dual pol indicates non-meteorological returns

A friend of mine is in throggs neck and got 2 inches the last half hour from the squall that is showing up on radar. A light snow shower here in the upper Bronx.
