kelani Posted December 8, 2018 Just for giggles, this current radar pretty much sums up Lenoir/Caldwell County during every hyped storm since forever. Did see some flurries 30m ago, well ahead of any radar indicating such, so hopefully we’re on our way.
PGAWx Posted December 8, 2018 41.7 / 28.2 in central Ral. Great timing here. Headed out for a Christmas party before it rolls in early am.
Upstate Tiger Posted December 8, 2018 Just went over to moderate sleet and 36 in Cherryville. Piling up pretty fast on the deck. Looking at southeastern radar is that a dry slot forming over Mississippi? I’m guessing the area of precipitation over Texas is the ULL?
QC_Halo Posted December 8, 2018 How did cold arrive in GA/ Greenville, SC before Charlotte?
luvrrroforange Posted December 8, 2018 We have snow finally in Blue Ridge, SC just south of Landrum. It is starting to accumulate on cars and things. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

Iceagewhereartthou Posted December 8, 2018 Been at 35 and all rain for several hours, heavy returns right now. Per radar, the snow line has set up shop about a half mile north of me and hasn't budged since about 4pm. Is anyone in pickens county seeing any snow? No snow for you Posted December 8, 2018 I’ve got 35 and 34. Still looks like a cold rain but temps dropping
SnowDawg Posted December 8, 2018 Well still sitting right around 32 but inexplicably we have been at almost pure rain for over an hour now. Radar says snow but it’s not. Certainly didn’t expect this sort of warmth aloft yet. Desperately needing some dynamic cooling.
No snow for you Posted December 8, 2018 That snow line is trying to move south. About 15 miles away max
LKN WX Posted December 8, 2018 37/30 here with light rain and IP mixed. Waiting on the heavier returns.

Interestingly many of the models hand a handle on this showing slightly warmer temps for a few hours in the mid levels before cooling back down. Wind is really starting to howl out there now...gusting over 20 here...yucky 38.

Gastonwxman Posted December 8, 2018 I'm down to 36, now, and the sleet has been mixing in with the rain. I suspect a changeover to all sleet soon before the snow eventually gets in...
WxKnurd Posted December 8, 2018 I’d say at least 80/20 sleet to rain now here across the river from Mt Holly
