Big flakes flying here....may be coming to an end.  Definitely on the back edge of the radar returns.

yeah keeps trying to backbuild a little bit but I think the end is pretty near.  Nice way to end winter.  It's been a great one.

Mixture of rain, sleet, and snow under the heaviest returns in Moncure a few minutes ago. Now that it's lightened up, it back to mostly rain with some sleet.

Temp is slowly dropping, now at 34.6

If we could just get it to change over here, sounds like it will pile up fast. I read that there is some good convection in Moore and Chatham Counties.

Hearing some pings on the glass here at my office.

Commence melting.  Kinda cool end to winter but the kids are pissed.  I think this is gonna ding them for a spring break vacation day.

yep..and me a vacation day, too! But oh well--we'll probably just yank them out anyway!

Back edge is so close. Still snowing moderately. Compaction has def hurt us with this one. Wouldn't have been surprised to have gotten 10'' if this was Jan or Feb. Just measured 5'' officially here. Great day in all.

Not seeing this for Cary folks.  Maybe we get a some snow a the very tail end but radar shows pretty heavy rain and that's it.

edit: For my area I believe this is just going to 'cold rain' then pack up and move out.

33 degrees with 2” of snow in GSO.  Moderate snow at the moment.  Should stop soon.  Very likely for schools to have at least a delay tomorrow.

I’d give the 2017-18 winter a solid B+ around here.  Four good events with 12” of snow IMBY in total.  It would get an A if it wasn’t for the month of Failbruary.
