We're go time but for what it's worth, the 12 NAM just increased snow totals for the Triangle. 6-8" for the whole area at 10:1 rates.

Dealing with the rates, we may want to use the 10:1 ratio because early on we'll be getting much less and then later more. Not sure if the positive rate values will end up making the average any higher than 10:1...just a thought

Right now this is a wet snow. Could be some tree limbs coming down until we can get this stuff more fluffy(dryer).

Just a half mile or so off of weaver dairy, about 2.5-3 miles due north of UNC's campus as the crow flies

Yeah it's a very wet snow right now, clinging to all of the trees and the evergreens are noticeably weighed down. Hoping drier snow takes over soon to avoid power issues though. Temp right now is holding steady at 32-32.2

This one could end up in the top of my list of best snow storms.  And it's good that most of NC will in on it.

It's been a consistent mod snow with periods of heavy and wind gusts all morning.  Models continue to catch up to the strength of this storm.

Cooling happening pretty quickly here in Cary. We've gone from 35-36 to 33-34 during this last hour or so of light snow. Still teetering on the edge of the heavier precip line around RDU airport area. Looks like the hole should close in about 15 minutes though.

Just measured 2 3/4” on picnic table.  Very pretty daytime event.  Getting a touch concerned about the load on the trees.  Hope this turns to a drier snow.  32/30
