weathafella
I noted sea smoke approaching BOS from out over the ocean last night. My wife at the window roused me and asked about the “clouds”. I exclaimed loud enough for my fellow passengers sitting nearby to hear that it is Arctic Sea Smoke! 12/-2 imby for high and low today. When it hit 0 my wife and I went outdoors to experience it without coats around 2AM. I married the right woman! Lost close to 80F from RSW to BOS last night. HoarfrostHubb
-6.7F for this morning’s low (I had previously reported -5 which it was when I awoke...oops). balanced nicely by a high of 6.7F Pretty neat. I also saw a pic of an arctic smoke devil (I think) on the coast of Maine

mreaves
The convo regarding Mt Washington reminded me of the Century Club that read about. I thought it involved temps too but it’s only walking around the observation deck while the wind is sustained 100 mph. http://archive.boston.com/business/articles/2008/11/02/weathering_all_mt_washington_has_to_offer/

I was loading my son’s new sled onto my open trailer this morning around 8:30 while it was still -15 or so. That sucked. All the small bits to tilt and lock down are hard to handle with gloves on. I need to get a better trailer.
