December 8-9 Holiday snow event Observations

Recommended Posts

I'm going to go ahead and start a thread for this one.  I think we're close enough now with close-range model forecasts and radar.

Currently 44.6 with clouds moving in.

43 degrees here just west of BHM.   It feels what I like to refer to as 'Cold Humid' outside.   Anyone know a better name for it?     The exact opposite of Summer Time Humidity.

Dewpoint is 81%

The sky has that deep gray look to it and it "smells" like snow. I am NOT expecting anything here in Belmont, NC but some "kiss your sister on the cheek" snow flurries mixed with rain later tomorrow, but the usual climo areas north and west of I-40 should "bank" AS ALWAYS. MU-WHAHAHAHAHA! Hoping all SNOW HOUNDS get what they are wishing for!

Best,

Jason

Also Ray has jumped his snow man meter up to moderate snow this evening.

Seeing it snow in San Antonio on social media has to be a good sign for most of down the road, right?  People are losing there minds down there.  Huge, wet flakes.  Pretty cool to see.

42.3/31 here in the N 'Burbs of ATL. Hoping for gold in the morning (which to me is a solid dusting!).

Dewpoint is good. May come up.  But you look prime for 32-33 degree snow

How do you figure? My wet bulb is like 39 or so. I was thinking something more like a 35-37 snow but hey I'll take 32-33!
