I have a question about bufkit as I don't want to state something that isn't correct and this has always confused me.  

This is a profile for Waterbury, CT from the NAM.  The blue contours (obviously indicating sinking air) are always something to keep an mind.  Is this depicted sinking motion something to worry about or is it negligible since it is not within the SGZ?  Basically...is it only a problem if its shown within the SGZ and can it be ignored if just shown very shallow like it is here?
