Heat over performed today..here, at least.

Actually under-performed here today.  Morning's forecast was 88F, but only hit 86F.  Go figure.

AN temps, but with decent dews, not terrible in the shade.

You're on track with your heat wave.

Lower dews definitely help. DCA just eeked out a 90 while a number of stations in the city went a few degrees higher. Outside shot at big heat tomorrow.

Would be nice to end a heat wave with a severe day.

Topped 90 today but I didn't use the AC at all.

We haven't had to turn on the AC yet this year.  That will probably change now that schools done for the summer and we are home more often, but I don't mind summer days of about 92 or less.  That's just a typical summer day.

You people who don't turn on the AC when it's warm are weird.

Agree.  We keep the house in a 72-76 degree range, and that means we've been pumping AC for quite a while now.

88.1 right now.

The number of stations out west that are 120 degrees or higher is crazy.

I wonder what the highest possible temp we can score around here is. Maybe a 110 (DCA) with a monster ridge?

Don't know.  Probably 108-110 given the same instruments locations and specs.

4am ob in Needles CA was 101 degrees.  Looks like they may be bottoming at 99.

Sage.

I need your radarscope location so that I can always look to see what kind of precip is over your area lol.

Did you know that you were moving to the desert?

Just go to the storm total radar on NWS. He lives in the rain free zone of southern Frederick Co.

Meanwhile up in the northern part of the county we are around 2" on that same graphic and I can promise you that's on the low end.

He's got me convenience that it really is horrible there lol. The place is a wasteland. I bet he got crushed during the blizzard last winter. He's got the spot during during the winter months. We get white rain while he gets buried in powder.

2.10" for the day. I ended up getting bullseyed today. I'm glad the bigger hail missed me by a couple miles. My plants don't like hail.
