Alek has done better with warmth from the SE winds. SE winds have a much bigger impact on temps here. Once you get down near Lake Forest where the coastline direction changes, the SE winds don't cut down temps as much.

Was sunny, but now clouded over. Dandelions are sure going gangbusters this spring.

Slightly off topic but a Canadian city in northern Alberta is currently being evacuated due to forest fires. Fort McMurray is a city of just over 60,000. So far 30,000 are under a mandatory evacuation.

Been watching the Global coverage online, it is nearly 90 there right now. Incredible how fast the fire moved into the city too.

Been following it today.

Only one road to leave the city, north or south.

Had a house shaking little storm about 30 minutes ago, with some small hail.

Nice.  Little hail core about to miss a little to the southwest of us in a bit.

Getting some pretty close CGs here in the last few mins.  Would make for some great lightning photog opportunity if it weren't for the heavy rain falling.

34, wind swept light snow falling this morning.

Forecast for Friday now has a high of 83 and a nice chance of storms Friday night! It's been so long since I've even heard thunder.  I expect the green up to go boom the next couple days!

EDIT:  short video... nothing really heavy but still a blustery May morning.

This pattern here further east has been awful. Sunday was nice with sun and 75F, but Monday and Tuesday were miserable with highs of 60F both days and no sun. Not to mention the end of last week was the same. So 1 good day out of the last 6.

And today and tomorrow are more of the same. 60 and showery. :axe:
