Snow is definitely lighter now. Radar showing a heavier blob of moisture heading this way through northern NJ right now. I wonder which will win out? The dry cold air or the precip in Jersey? 4.6" 28o

Looking at radar trends, it should be getting shunted almost due east. I think this is gradually tapering off over the next few hours. I'll measure in a bit. Guesstimating close to 3" here.

This storm is like the freakin' energizer bunny,  Just when you think it's done, it starts up again.

It comes in pulses. light snow then mod/heavy for a while then back to light.

Cold dry air finally pushing in.

I don't know, the radar is picking up something...can it be sublimating that quickly on its way down?  I wonder about the effect of the wind...if a flake forms at what, 6,000 feet up?  Higher?  And the wind is blowing at 20mph, how far off course will that flake travel before reaching the ground?

In other words, it may be snowing moderately overhead, but the flakes are landing in the Sound.

The Carver Ob is old now so it's probably around 5" as well.
