IsentropicLift Posted May 16, 2014 Share Posted May 16, 2014 This isn't going to be a big event for us. 1-2" of rain maybe isn't major at all. Many areas might have less than 1". The heavy amounts fell over central/eastern PA where dynamics are better and upslope on the SE wind helps wring out moisture. Some areas there have 4-5" of rain. We'll have to see if that slows down or speeds up. That will determine how heavy the rain is here. I'm lucky to be on the east side of the Hudson today-not a cloud in the sky, 68. Looks like some instability west of the Hudson. Memorial day is early this year, so not surprised it's going to be a bit cooler. Water's never warm enough to swim in anyway even with a late Memorial Day. It's perfect for myself but it's not quite as nice as yesterday. Memorial Day weekend looks a bit sketchy especially for the first half of it and then things look to warm up and become more unstable.
