No not really. Light winds at best

The HRRR has had a strip in NE Livingston and NW Oakland with gust up to 30-35 (even some 35-40) MPH but much calmer winds elsewhere in the area.

Howell has had several up to around 25  (the HRRR was showing that as a possibility).

I have had some low 30s gust almost all afternoon.

Pretty cool to see the model in action like that.

I bet it is the elevation factor being about 1000' IMBY.

Any updates on fog?  I was texting someone in northwest IN and he said there's like no visibility.

Yeah I have been seeing LSRs popping up on GR2 with respect to the fog for Chicago and NW IN, some with near 0 visibility. MDW at 1/8SM and ORD/GYY 1/4SM

I'm just slightly above 1000' so that can't be it

Had dense fog much of the afternoon, but after the line of storms passed through the fog quickly lifted and it became completely sunny for a short bit.  Could see the towers to the northeast racing away.  Very cool.

Picked up 1.32" of rain total.  Winds are just now starting to get very gusty.  Fog a distant memory.

We got heavy rain and a decent amount of small hail a couple hours ago.  It caused some minor issues.  The street backed up because the big snow pile at the end blocked the drainage, and a couple neighbors had water in their window wells(one of them leaks water into their basement).  My rain total was 0.89", easily my heaviest precip event since last fall.

The snowpack is going to become a glacier during the next cold stretch.
