Where do you get your soundings from? I actually think it just clicked for me on how to finally understand them enough to get an idea of what they're showing. Up until I saw it was the 12z run of the gfs and have no way to look at 18z.

i'lll be about 20 miles NNE of you tonite in francestown.....every mile north will help with mid level temps

Very heavy snow moving into VT from NY.... Its starting to back-build and change trajectory a bit in the echos, so hopefully the coastal is starting to pump some juice into this thing.

Very dynamic storm. Strong height falls moving east flipping people over to snow. I suspect even nrn ORH country may briefly have snow. Man Powerfreak is already snowing.

Starting to come down heavier here too. Over half an inch new since I got home around 5:00. Feels like a real storm for once this winter.

Still crappy for a while. I haven't looked hard in your area, but 1-3 should do it, although 3 may be the max. I wouldn't be shocked if you only got an inch or two.

Pretty much just plain rain now with some IP mixed in. The heavier bursts are mostly IP.

That s/w on the GFS that punches east is extremely impressive. Wow. This thing is going to be so dynamic for Maine. I see some TSSN for sure.
