  1. Past hour
  2. I’m not sure where my snow is blowing in from but it’s moderate to heavy now
  3. A lot of people were asking me about the storm when we got the WSW of 5" or more. "Is it going to snow? Are we really getting 5 inches?" Even though I was more bullish on AMWX (a bit to my detriment haha), I was much more conservative in real life saying "maybe 3 inches if that, and I don't think the roads are gonna be that bad"
  4. Was sitting in subsidence for a few hours in central Brooklyn, but flakes are back to large and fluffy under the bands that are firing right into BK and the city.
  5. Just got up. Looks like just light snow here. Worst may be over. Nearby reports of 16-18.
  6. Feel good about it except here. But need to head back out and measure.
  7. I have measured on average 5” in multiple spots, unless wind or compaction slightly skewed my numbers. For the major services, Accuweather and TWC nailed the LV. NWS bombed the forecast here, even through later updates when it was certain the heavier banding was not making it here. There were always gonna be winners and losers with this one. Happy for the folks to the south and east who did really well!
  8. We're in that same band and it's probably the heaviest snow of the event.
  9. I don't know, we've been sitting in subsidence here in Northern Queens for a while.
  10. Storm looks to be right at/near the 40/70 benchmark from what I can tell
  11. Wow. No where near that in Hanover. Eyeballing around 3-4"? Over near I83 was bullseyed by all modeling, so it makes sense.
  12. Those bands were over us for a bit, explains why I have 18 inches out here. Then the eastern edge hovered over the Hudson and riverdale. Still snowed hard af.
  13. Man I thought nws lost these county line defined warning areas. Southeastern Strafford county NH should be in a blizzard warning area. Feel like this storm was taken too lightly around here.
  14. Still hammering here. Don't ever let anyone tell you 4wd can go on ice especially in mountainous terrain. Did a 180 trying to stop on a steep grade because another vehicle was off the bank. It's extremely slick out there this morning. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
  15. It sucks to be on the wrong side for this one. Something like 2.5" here
  16. Yeah I’d say maybe 3 inches here in Sunderland right now. We kind of knew this would happen lol
  17. MD Mesonet snow depths. Literally every mile mattered. Some spots out east you probably picked up an inch a mile
  18. Snow flurries in Lookout Valley this morning!
  19. Looks like the models were too far west with the qpf, meaning the SLP capture took a bit longer than originally thought. Those kinds of details are tough to nail down, as are meso banding structures.
