This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. Rgem was pretty good. Not like 18z good but workable
  3. The porch light, lol. That does sound like some new streaming series. My wife would've said the same thing back in the day, but after 30+ years of marriage, she knows when to pick her battles now. When I'm watching the porch light, there will be no interruptions from the peanut gallery.
  4. Sleetfall and bitter cold have created a situation in Winston-Salem wherein the grass is relatively bare, but roads are covered in white. The temperature is 13 degrees.
  5. The horseshoe effect that shows up in East Tennessee at times, is also reflected by an even larger horseshoe at times like this. It's going to be much colder to our southwest, west, southeast and east by tomorrow morning. It's crazy how often systems cut in our area vs up the other side of the mountains. I'd guess for every system that goes from Tallahassee to Raleigh, 25 cut through some part of Tennessee.
  6. If snowstorms are what you love more than anything, then you’d be in New England and not bitching about being wherever the hell you are. Jesus Christ, give it a rest .
  7. Make of what you will. Burlington,NC chain of events thus far… 7pm extremely light snow. 8pm light sleet. 9-11pm very light frz rain/sleet 11:30pm (with a noticeably heavier radar return) snow/sleet mix Doesn’t make sense with warm nose building/thickening at a rapid rate but perhaps heavier returns will push us more towards sleet overnight and not all frz rain as is currently feared? frankly I don’t know what I’ll wake up to. This storm. The nerve.
  8. UKMET is in the big thump camp. .7 qpf in DC before the flip. About .9 Winchester to Westminster before mix
  9. With the cold, every flake will count and result in good ratios. The heavy banding is the wildcard. Fingers crossed!
  10. Don’t think I’ve ever seen such a uniform Narcan snow map distribution ever before like that over all of SNE/and NY State. Talk about spreading the wealth. Impressive.
  11. Is this user error whar? I’m not seeing any posts since this afternoon
  12. 16.9, pixie dust starting in Easton, looks like Cambridge has a dusting.
  13. You want the small flakes if you don’t want it to turn over..Really big ones will mean it’s getting close to turn over most likely
  14. Like you said...common feature here with big storms it seems. I think people just want to see a big storm and we bust low a lot so they worry.
  15. Well how bout them apples. Snowing now. Pingers etc have stopped .
  16. True, but the winter of 2009-10 was the one that made my day, so to speak. Never to be forgotten.
  17. I stopped sweating this stuff years ago. I've been through too much personally that's way worse than busting on a snowstorm. Lol I'm just going to enjoy the ride and whatever happens happens. It's been fun to track all week and now it's finally almost here.
  18. Light pixie dust here outside of Charles Town, WV.
  19. It might not. This is so unusual there is a chance the models don't play out at all. There's also a chance we get something wildly unexpected. This might be the event that is a future unicorn "... it looks like Jan 26, remember when x happened? that was unexpected"
  20. Light mist/drizzle in Cary. No real radar returns overhead either
  21. Moderate sleet in Advance, NC. Everything getting covered white 16.2/13.8 Sent from my Pixel 10 Pro XL using Tapatalk
