  1. Past hour
  2. The gradient between the cold in Siberia and the warmth INVO Japan is what has been causing the stronger jet, correct?
  3. So this system does appear to be organizing earlier than some models were predicting. They now mostly develop it before it reaches the central Caribbean. However, there are still two camps. The GFS and Euro AIFS are still lifting it northward over Hispaniola, while the Euro and ICON rebuild ridging to the north, which causes this system to slam on the breaks and turn back westward.
  4. If anything happened, I slept through it. Trash bins stood their ground! Looks like my high for the day will be 68F, currently 53F.
  5. Columbia: 0.40” overnight 0.97” October to date
  6. I got 0.41” too. Better than I expected.

  11. I think the drought is more about what is happening in Canada than the Atlantic Ocean. The Atlantic is currently near record warm levels just behind 2023 and 2024.
  12. Why do we have Daylight Savings Time all the way into early November? It makes zero sense right now, the sun rises well after 7 am and it's still dark here at 7:30. DST year round doesn't make as much sense as Standard Time year round does. The sun rising at 4 am in the summer is just fine, that's actually the best time to wake up in the summer. Either that or leave your blinds/curtains down.

  14. I got a spike in allergies because of a sudden rise in winds this morning
  15. I think we are evolving into an AMO- pattern so this is why we have had a drier pattern now, it's to balance out all the wet years we had in past years.
  16. Today
  17. Another poor timing cold front limiting rain
  18. 34 currently at the house and the first light frost of the Fall Season.
