  1. Past hour
  2. If it’s over 2” I’ll entertain. Other than that it’s crap that melts away in an hour. Doesn't move the needle for me.
  3. I said that because next thing you’ll say that you’re not talking 2-4” either …so I wanted to get that out there… If tomorrow ends up more than an inch of slop.
  4. No way. Too much cloud cover coming up
  5. 75 already at 10 am… we’re going to be close to 90. Started at 59. Crazy tomorrow at this same time we could be near freezing
  6. What are you taking about? LOL. Thank you for saying 2-4” isn’t an inch of slop. I was confused.
  7. Cold retreats and anything active cuts. That’s the issue. Later in the month gradient shifts north. If I was lakes region north I’d be more interested. If we had blocking or better west coast ridging I’d be a lot more intrigued. It’s just this zonal meh look. You’d really have to time something so perfectly.
  8. March 9-16th of '95. On 9th I had a 68 high, then a 22 low with 3 inches of snow. Next day an 11 degree low. Rapid turn around and a 77 degree high on the 16th. Crazy.
  9. Didn’t the famous Palm Sunday storm have 80s just before and after?
  10. Step back in the temperatures the next couple days but still solidly above normal. We continue the melt.
  11. Virginia Severe Weather Awareness Week. https://www.vaemergency.gov/severe-weather-awareness
  12. Well we are using meteorological reasoning too. Cold nearby, active storm track, a well timed SW…that isn’t meteorological reasoning? Sure, next week shit the bed…doesn’t mean there won’t be a shot after the 17 or 18th. Yes, An inch of slop won’t count. But 2-4” isn’t an inch of slop if it played out.
  13. Lol and now the Ravens get Hendrickson while keeping their picks. Makes you wonder how bad that physical was or they saw an opp to get out of the deal and ran with it.
  14. 80 to snow in 48 hrs...gotta love spring around here.
  15. I’ll take 45-55F all day long, remaining pack still melts and the driveway mud bog track eventually dries out. Seasons being seasons
  16. we getting some snow tomorrow afternoon huh?
  17. There was an event in March '95. It was 70s early in the day, and we ended up with 2-3 inches of snow that evening. Only time I've ever mowed the lawn in shorts and a tshirt and shoveled snow on the same day. Edit: Looks like it was March 8, 1995. Highs were in the mid-60s, not 70s. IAD had 1.8", DC .4", and BWI .2"
  18. Either the 2nd or 3rd time already this year where I zoom up to almost a record high then clouds/showers suppress it at the last moment, lol. High was 79.5, record 80 from 1990.
  19. You can discuss, but I’m trying to use meteorological reasoning as to why it looks done vs just saying we don’t know because there is a 2% chance that something could happen. I’m not talking about an inch or slop either.
  20. A few spots hit 80 degrees yesterday. Almost same temp here in Clearwater for Phillies spring training! Today will be at least a few degrees cooler but still unseasonably warm. We turn sharply colder with rain possibly changing to some snow during the day tomorrow with falling temperatures. Below normal temperatures in the 40's both Friday and Saturday before we warm to near normal on Sunday and Monday with highs in the low 50's. Rain arrives Monday and yet another sharp cold front could change that rain to some snow. We turn unseasonably cold by next Tuesday with highs not too far above freezing.
  21. Drier today than the last 2, not as muddy.
