  3. One of those guys has no business being there.
  4. May not happening but the cmc ensembles have a huge signal for this storm next weekend.
  5. So I'm taking a look at the NAM soundings for at Sunday 9z (when the sleet line crosses into our area) and based on my untrained eye, it seems REALLY close. No wonder the models are struggling with the mid-level thermals.
  6. Heard it on WTOP. Just amended my post to clarify.
  7. I grew up in the close Philly suburbs of South Jersey! Pretty sure psu did, as well. But I moved here in 1997, so I've got some years on you. lol

  13. @MAG5035 - you going to do a map? It’s been a long while!
  14. They probably got a lot of snowstorms during the last glacial maximum.

  16. I think they use the brine so that the frozen stuff won't stick to the road as much and it makes it easier to plow it away down to the asphalt. The salt usually comes after the stuff is plowed. I know they have some newer mixes of salt that can go lower but with the kind of cold they are talking about, back in the day you probably remember when they went on and put sand out.
  17. craziest part is they are 82 now but also have a extreme cold watch
  18. I'd give up 7-8 winters with basically zero snow for a solution like that...Oh wait it's already been 7-8 winters without anything major. Check please!
  19. I mean it wouldn’t take much, but I’d rather the euro stuff showing storms vs gfs.
  20. WTOP just reported on air of a statewide emergency declaration for Maryland
