Lights flickered hear out Western Ave. a bit, seems around the time you posted that. Power stayed on. Didn't know there was an outage downtown.

It’s tough to determine that NYC would be cooler on calm clear nights if the sensors were in a clearing instead of under the trees. Since the park is in the middle of one of the strongest heat islands in the country like LGA. So that makes the tree effects on radiational cooling nights harder to determine. We do know that the winter low temperature is warming a little slower than LGA. Plus LGA is often a few degrees warmer for the lows. So the lows have been warming at a faster rate at LGA than NYC. LGA is right on the water which keeps it warmer during the winter also. New CanSips looks pretty good for DJF. Dec looks really good & Jan not shabby either. I would share but I cannot get anything to share on this forum anymore. Everything is too big. Good grief, it is 2025.

Looks awesome, man. Love that the windows on the cupola open.

It is very windy around here at times and those fast growing maples don't always stand up to the wind as well. I have a few sugar maples around the yard. Not as brilliant but the orange is about as beautiful as the reds on the autumn blaze maples.
