  1. Past hour
  2. Don’t tell Frederick…it’ll start activating its snow shield.
  3. clearly the nws way of measuring snow at central park is faulty... who else measures snow every 6 hours just nonsense.,.
  4. Areas of good snow showers as I headed to Halls for the basketball tournament. The salt trucks were out at Caryville. It's partly sunny at Halls high. Snow flakes ended around Raccoon Valley.
  5. Second pass with snowblower another 12” after 16” this morning .
  6. We’re gonna do this. And it’s going be more area wide than this last abomination.
  7. I wouldn’t get too excited about the system for next week. That’s a rainmaker.
  8. Comment under Cecily/Accu Weather totals. "22” in lower bucks by trained spotters. Langhorne area"
  9. It's the same report from Upton at 2 PM that showed CPs 1 PM total. There might be another report yet from Upton with full snow storm totals. .
  10. Agree. First time I've seen double digits in decade. And it was double the amount of the storm a month ago. Definitely an A for this winter. Looking forward to the next good winter in 2036. lol
  11. What’s the deal with Friday? Wed looks 1-3 all SNE. What a great storm in Chelsea. Although it was the lower end of forecast and expectations, I feel very fortunate to be just in that band all day. Some epic sights no doubt
  12. Yet, being a d-bag Rhode Islander gets you the shaft (apparently). Go figure.
  13. One of the weirdest storms I’ve ever worked up here. Huge bust on snow totals - I have nothing on my snow board and snow depth went down a half inch today. I would guess I have around 2”. BUT PWM did verify a blizzard warning.
  14. So who in here plans on getting a full night of sleep tonight ? No reaching for the phone at 1:00 in the morning. No getting up at 5 to see what the 6Z NAM did. Kind of need a break.
  15. What an epic amazing storm. We may not see this again until next year.
  16. 36.2 inches in Warwick, RI according to NBC 10. I lived in Alaska for 10 years and never had 3’ of snow in one storm. This was insane! .
  17. Yeah. As heavy as this snow is, the 3 inches of sleet on top of the snow last storm was brutal.
  18. Accu-Weather "actual" snow totals seems low in several areas particular in lower Bucks... 31f
  19. This will forever be remembered for me as the winter of two storms, one that wasn't a blizzard but felt like one and the other that was a blizzard but didn't feel like one.
  20. So so close to this new band developing off shore. Doesn't look like it will clip Boston.. Bummer.
  21. Unlike the park, they do measure and start over every 6 hours. Not only that, they report new snow every hour. It is very unlikely to exceed their totals using a different measuring protocol (non FAA), but that's just the way it is. I don't have a major issue with today. ISP had hours more accumulating snowfall than there was here despite being only 8 or 9 miles away as the crow flies. I am a wee bit envious of those who didn't spend a huge chunk of the storm in a subsidence hole, or whatever that was. On the other hand, we're still digging out and the xc skiing will be great.
  22. My deck snow gauge is approaching 12". There's possibly some drifting near it, but still, I'm surprised we didn't get upgraded to a warning.
