NO NHL in February this year- the olympics. Not a fan of the NBA regular season. If we can get to mid March we are solid- March Madness, Baseball, Masters, NHL and NBA playoffs. Thats why we need more snow now.

If this was a couple of weeks from now, today’s temps would have overperformed by even more. Post 2/20 is when full sun and lack of CAA really starts to have an effect

We wanted to let everyone know that the streak of consecutive days of 32 or lower has ended at Central Park at 9 days. The temperature at 1:27 pm reached 33 degrees. The last time there were more than 9 consecutive days of 32 or lower at Central Park was in 2018, which was a 14 day streak that ended on January 8.

The winter has been solid so far but we need snow or February can be brutally long. After the Super Bowl, no sports until March Madness. The only good thing is its only 28 days long.

Here near the bottom of the valley, it just reached 20. Going to bust the forecast by 15 degrees.

Definitely a moderation though. That looks locked. Whether we get some messy events like Euro AI shows or are these just nasty rain events remains to be seen. Even srn Canada is void of any cold. But with no SE ridge, a torch doesn't seem likely...this is just Pacific puke air.
