Does this cold pattern bleed into spring and summer? We have had a number of hot summers in the past 10 years. Wondering if the mini split gets a rest this year.

Same for Buford and Sugar Hill. We happened to be in mini-slot of snow and it has surprised people here. Wrecks all over as it is quickly freezing from slush. South on 85 seems almost clear though. Probably 3 inches here all fluffy snow. Vis is low with the wind blowing it.

Next week or so looks rather boring on the GFS. Disorganized clipper next Saturday and that’s about it

It really depends what your local conditions were like for how low you went last night. A good bit of variety across the local ASOS stations: RDG 5, CXY 4, LNS 1, MDT 0, and THV -8. I believe MDT’s zero reading will be a new record low for today, breaking the previous record of 2 from 1948.

21.7, low of 5.4 - smokin' sunshine while I watch the southerners get crushed or complain about the dry slot. Still looks like a winter wonderland out there, reminds me of the winters growing up in Massachusetts. Good stuff.

Much larger flakes and intensity right now. Really coming down well. 3 inches total.

Some NWS offices call and ask the tower to measure, but not all seem to do so. Mt Holly always gets measurements from TTN/ABE though neither has an observer anymore. NYC though does not do the same at GON/HVN/FOK/FRG despite the fact probably they could get TWR staff to do it. BOS/PHL/DEN/DTW all do not measure on the field for whatever reason so they never have SNINCR remarks or 4 groups. My assumption is that none of them have good spots on the field to measure snow accurately. They all use someone just off the airport grounds to do it.

Any chance to grab an inch or so of ocean effect here? Was looking forward to some waves and flooding but kind of looks mehhh now.

Who's on the venue for the Ice Jam? Is it a Country thing? R&B? Rock?

Heading to trophy brewing if anyone wants to sulk together. Roads should be fine, lol

Okay, it’s getting real good in Winston-Salem

Heavier snow has let up but it’s still coming down. 3” and counting!

15 Degrees here and absolutely puking snow. Very high ratios

I actually just did this and can confirm, it works!

Wind is starting to rip! It’s like a heavy fog of snow imbyZ .

And the GFS has been so good too!;)
