January 24-26: Miracle or Mirage JV/Banter Thread!

Fucking sick dude. I'm probably gonna apply for BOX's summer thing. -
Icon catching on

Looks like some lift from 850mb fronto is crashing in to erode the northern extent of the dry slot over CT. IMO this is one of the first signs of how the coastal reflection is beginning to modify the overall structure of the system, which is attempting to consolidate dynamics towards vertical alignment. Looking downstream, BOS and points north should benefit. EDIT: Just missed @ORH_wxman's latest radar update, only further affirms these processes

Congratulations. Hopefully you remain a weenie. -
I measured 6.5" snow after the flip, around 10 am. Measured the sleet portion around 4 pm, inconsistent 2" - 2.5". Another ~quarter inch fell after that. I feel safe saying mby recd 9", it might be low. Nearest spotters so far are Abingdon (10") and T. August btw 9-10" I think.

That might end up being a BIG snowstorm for you guys!
-
Moderate snow shower now. Looks like a little sound enhancement too. 24⁰

Excuse me. The Ravens.

It’s accreting a bit here on cars.
-
Temp crashing here now. Topped out at 26.8, down 2 degrees in 10 min to 24.4. As usual, lower level temps overestimated in these setups.
-
About to add to it next week
-
freezing drizzle behind the front for the coup de grace
-
0Z ICON was close but stayed on the coast.
-
We just hit 31 with heavy mist falling. Yep, it is going to be a disaster by tomorrow if this keeps up much longer with the falling temperatures.

That’s really confusing to me. What would cause that? Is this some kind of weird DGZ placement? .
