  1. Past hour
  2. It would, I was expecting dim sun honestly.
  3. Mixing with and changing to snow here 36.2 . Portsmouth
  4. GEFS hinting at some post frontal snows Friday but we know how those normally go. Then we will see how things shake out after Christmas.
  5. 4 inches I Waterford! Looks like snow is pivoting and back filling a little
  6. 1.5-2” would be a win up here for this when it was looking like flurries 36hrs ago.
  7. 5.3" here as of 9:30. Good shot at 6". FYI, warning criteria here is 7", but not if they think the 7" totals will be isolated (or spread out over more than 12 hours)
  8. Down to 14 with moderate snow now and quite a bit of wind. The rates really picked up in the last 15 minutes. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk
  9. @The 4 Seasons4.1" total of lovely powder here, 8.6" for the season. 6.5" at the stake.
  10. 12/5: 1.5” 12/14: 1.0” Total: 2.5”
  11. Central Park has been getting out of hand, especially since 2020. The only problem is that it’s still the official measuring site of NYC. So when people look back in the past on this storm, they’ll see there was only like 2” in NYC. That’s rubbish
  12. If we could reel off like 5-6 events like this in a months stretch we’d be good
  13. Been watching that about 10 miles north of me and hallucinating it sinking south. It might be starting to
  14. For MBY in the tropics we def lost a lot of snow due to temps. If we hadn’t torched during the day it would have accumulated better. This could have been a 2-3” deal if ground wasn’t as warm. Shady areas already icy cause now temps falling
  15. She’s gotten the sh*t kicked out of her this autumn…she’s washed up .
  16. 5.5" @ 09:30. Finally, a proper snowfall. It's been forever it seems.
  17. Can someone please explain to me how the nyc metro area got a 6" snowstorm on dec 14 with a raging pacific jet. -pna, +ao and Nao and no phase 8 mjo mismatch. I understand from reading this forum for at least several years that nola. Tallahassee, richmond, DC, ac and northern New England can but I thought it was impossible for that to happen in the nyc metro area. I border the bronx and will likely finish with 6" + so I am not 20 or more miles away
  18. Fox had a reporter measure exactly 3" at the park about a half hour ago.
  19. Right around 5”, maybe a little more.
  20. This will likely be a warning event overachiever for many and even did well north of the city due to a little help from the trough buckling and bringing moisture north. 1-2 degrees help and Central Park would be 5" right now too.
  21. I'm curious what anyone in Manhattan near central park thinks of the 1.1 "official measurement in the Park at 7:00 am? At 7:00 am 2.4 at EWR, 1.7 at LGA and 2.6 at JFK. If it was once you let it go but it's all the time. Maybe they should just stop and make LGA the official measurements in NYC or actually get a trained spotter near the Park to take them. I guess they just don't give a F.
  22. Heading outside now,,,,,not disappointed at all and I hope everyone enjoys the snow that they got I will measure in a bit and the temps here in new city are dropping
  23. Just saw that. Fantastic. cleaned off the cars. Approaching 4”.
  24. 1” new here. Very festive. My driveway is super icy though and this doesn’t make it easier
