EPS has already been posted.

Interesting. So the refs paid themselves to fix the game? Sent from my Pixel 10 Pro XL using Tapatalk

When you imply that Nov-Jan were all 3 BN cold, what specific area are you referring to? TIA
-
It does appear that the 12Z American and Canadian Emsembles are a little better than before so y’all are right. Have not seen EPS yet. .

Took me 5 hours to drive 10 miles home from work. It was such a heavy wet snow

February 2026 OBS & Discussion

What’s even more frustrating is in this case, for once, the best lift went directly over Raleigh like literally over the city in a thin band. Just a little moisture and this drops an inch of fluff in the 20’s. Alas, we suck

It looks to me like next weekend is a weak slp pushes west of the Apps and then transfers to the inland Plain of GA or the Carolinas. Blizzard setup for the Northeast. If we can get a cleaner pass, that is money here as well. Ensembles have energy to the west of the Apps w/ a transfer to an inland runner.

East River Mtn. Roof of the Tennessee Valley, sheltered hollows below it neared -20F last week. Lake Witten (Tazewell): Clinch River (New Garden): Clinch (Blackford Bridge) Upper Clinch (Near Swords Creek) Heck of a cold spell, been quite a show. The freezing has been impressive with even a snowpack on Witten! I'm not quite ready to let go of winter but I figure we could all use a break. Hoping for some upper 50s for a nice winter hike. Flurries in Honaker, 27F.

Snow storm, February 5, 2001 - Storm Summary
-
Yeah. Not sure on letter grade personally. But it certainly feels like we “had winter”. Gimme a warning level event next weekend, one more modest event later, and keep it generally BN through the end of the month. Then it can be in the 80s all of March.
-
This is the 3rd crack at this by the Euro. It lost it twice. Is the 3rd time the charm?
-
Yeah…if you live in Pennsylvania.
-
Cold source is dwindling by the time the storm occurs. It would be a thread the needle event if it does happen.
-
A Feb 5 2001 type storm would be amazing.
-
Who cares
-
For much of Virginia. .
-
In other words it's way too early to come to any conclusions about that potential

I just had a blast outside with the gas leaf blower blowing gumballs off the glacier and into the woods. Easy work now rather than waiting for the snow to go. They glide right across easily. Was fun as fuck actually. Stayed on top the whole time. Like being someplace else in the world when out there. Took a few measurements and pretty much everywhere there is still 5 inches of stuff otg, some places a bit more. Even with the cold, pure snow would not have survived 2 weeks without significant meltage.

Mostly below normal, would be surprised if at least one more PV intrusion doesn't take place
