  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, we’d be flooding here. Nonstop rain today.
  3. Low of 58, high of 80. Severe warned line of storms broke apart 10 miles from me and the dying line only dropped .07" but did drop the temp from 75 to 62 in less than 30 minutes. My monthly totals: Highest temp: 94 Lowest temp: 55 Highest dew point: 79 Lowest dew point: 43 Rainfall: 7.92"
  4. Took a walk this evening around the neighborhood and it is like Fall.
  5. It’s a good thing this is just a steady rain and not a steady torrential rain
  6. May Rainfall totals: Site / Actual (normal) JFK: 4.39 (3.72 N EWR: 4.81 (4.02 N) LGA: 5.14 (3.72 N) NYC: 6.58 (4.03 N)
  7. So what is your position on Climate change- is it "Cyclical" or "a nothing burger"? Does it change? Is the larger trend warmer? No? Is there life beyond Chester County? I just got back from Valais Canton in Switzerland. I can assure you that the people who used to live in the village of Blatten, after the glacier collapse do not think that a warming climate is a "nothing burger". ...and thats a fact.
  8. True that. I was joking with the wife at dinner that I should be putting the Halloween decorations out and tuning up the snow blower.
  9. That hasn’t stopped birds from dropping bagels in mine several times. I’m constantly undercounting. Speaking of…I’m at .86 and counting here. Nearby stations well over an inch today.
  10. I did not see any storm related calls in our 911 system from the Montgomery County TOR or SVR cells.
  11. Haha yeah I’ve always just used that as a quick and dirty eyeball method when the inner is full. But I knew it wasn’t exactly right. Can’t believe I never put it together the outer one is obviously taller, as that’s where the cone goes lol.
  12. Yeah I don’t feel like figuring out the exact geometry. The inner cylinder takes up space and is shorter. The cone dips into the outer cylinder. I like your estimate better. Quick and easy.
  13. Back at the homestead missed that round of heavy showers only .20" 12.30"
  14. Give it a few days and the a/c will be on and the mosquitoes will be biting 3.93” for the total in the Davis. 51/49 currently.
  15. Already down to 51 @ 8:30. Just shy of 1' of rain for May. Forecast for our camp in the Adirondack of New York says snow mixing in tonight at elevations above 2000'.
  16. Nothing on the euro, looks like typical early season GFS overdoing it BUT it had some big early season wins last year Sent from my Pixel 9 using Tapatalk
  17. Stopped here also. 3.93” for the event. 51/49 with a west wind around 10-15 mph currently. And probably will have the a/c on in a few days.
  18. Ahh good call, I always forget the outer cylinder is higher than the inner one, duh. Even staring at it. I was approaching it as they were the same height.
  19. we're going to get hit good and hard tomorrow
  20. Counted 132 tips in this once I cleared the hole. Not sure how much I lost in between tips. I should probably install the bird spikes.
  21. Yeah I knew it was 11”. So 10” remaining in the 12” outer cylinder. I have 2” in the outer so I have 1/6 of 10” plus the 1” inner. So 2.6”ish
  22.
