Weather pep talks!

My city’s official low as of 7AM EST was way down to 28 F, which beats the 31 record low for the day (records back to 1874). Not only that but also: -last time it was this cold this early in season was 1976 -colder than 78% of coldest for ENTIRE November -last time it was colder in entire November was 2014

Looking at traffic cams, up to half an inch or so accumulated in Eastern NC!

For sure. We had a ton of excitement for a long while. Now it’s been quiet for a while. We will turn the tables this winter…you don’t dodge everything forever. Our time is near.

Zero torch coming…same crap every year. Laughable.

So, I called it a 0.1" for first accumulation of the season here. Interesting day and night, winds a steady 15-20 with gusts into mid 30's blew snow what did accumulate into corners and against objects. Enough on the snowboard to say 0.1 official at 7 am, but only because a slightly heavier flurry was falling and the winds eased up the 5 minutes or so before I checked. Actually it warmed up after 4 am when it was 19.5 degrees. Currently 23.5/14.2 at 8 am with flurries still falling and WNW 14/19 winds.

We are due for weather excitement.

Yessir, I drove home after that storm for my birthday, 2 days after it was done we were still buried.

I wound up with about a tenth of an inch in Knoxville. We had a band come through around 7pm last night that dropped that. Other than that, had a few off and on show showers throughout the day with sun mixed in between. Great early November treat to start off the season!

Only 31 for a low in Reisterstown. Weak sauce.

Could see aurora this far south tonight with a cannibal CME arriving after two X flares. There was an X5 this morning which also produced a full halo CME so we will see how that factors in for another round in a day or two.

Picked up 0.76" of rain the other day bringing the yearly total to only 32". Current windchill is 25F. Hello, winter.

Period of snow/rain here but it was mostly to my SW

Only bottomed out at 27 here, but it also stayed breezy throughout the night. Regardless, a solid 13 hrs below freezing.

Would expect enough instability to produce.

I wouldn’t mind some more days where I can get stuff done outdoors without putting on multiple layers.

27.3 this morning. Colder than the airports and every MD mesonet site east of the panhandle. A topsy-turvy world.
