have to love the change of seasons and while i would like another snowstorm or two, am happy to have a half assed KU and some smaller events along with the cold. that said, walking is a challenge for us older folks and the ice mounds are too thick to chop. time for them to go. i've been down in monmouth this weekend and while they had less snow, by a little bit, they have huge mounds and a lot of parking lots are only partially cleared. its kind of cool tbh. but, my itchy skin and drafty bedroom...i need a break.

Another big thing to learn is to always check the plumes. So far ive never had the plumes lie to me. .

I haven’t looked at the next system so i wasn’t sure if temps was an issue at 850 up or on the ground .

People in North Carolina seem bewildered that they lost so much of their snowpack on a 30 degree day. Full sun + powder snow = no chance of lasting. So grateful for all of the ice in our pack. That's what's maintaining our landscape.

Yup, can confirm, had 1.75” close to downtown Cary. Had both the band from the west and the band from the east stop on our doorstep lol. But I’m hopeful for just one more something. Maybe I just need to move to Vermont

Looks to warm to me,if you really looks at the isobars this is an inverted trough and warm nose,you can then look at what the 850,its definite a warm nose

Anyone else as surprised as I was at how fast this snow melted today? Obviously, the sun is extremely powerful…but it was a cold day.

Hopefully we get one more shot at snow here in middle TN. Usually when March arrives then middle TN is left out of the snow chances. Can a winter storm happen in March? Yes but it’s very unlikely unless you are in higher elevations. So winter is officially on the clock now. I hope my mentions of top 10 snows for middle TN happen in February pay off. Don’t let me down February! When March arrives I’m ready for some spring. Though I do love my fall & winters. Just not ice!!!! The ice here is like concrete, it will not melt or be moved!!!
