  1. Past hour
  2. It’s still a Nina so keep expectations appropriate for that. Don’t expect January 96 to walk through the door until you’re done shoveling it.
  3. Keep dreaming, that forum thinks they live in northern Finland and should be getting 2 foot blizzards every month.
  4. The streak without a 4" or above snowstorm ended; the streak with less than 4" daily snowfall continues.
  5. It was one of those rare winters where we’d be under a winter storm warning and already tracking the next threat.
  6. 4.5" Nice start to the storm but not much after midnight. Looks awesome out there.
  7. I wonder if out like in Wyoming they ever had a real bad ice storm with like 0.50" of accretion followed by a Chinook wind that melted it all within an hour. Seems like a receipe for some flash flooding Sent from my SM-S731U using Tapatalk
  8. Usually when Niñas break the floodgates open.
  9. Thank god that’s over. Just a brutal storm to track and experience. My least favorite in recent memory.
  10. That rarely happened in mid December. If ever.
  11. I believe it's a good measurement. Every site in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx listed on the NWS PNS had 3" or more. JFK, LGA, and NYC all had somewhat over 4".
  12. Will the law of averages work out this time or will this be another “one that got away”?
  13. I think it’s my favorite winter of my lifetime(born 1990) for that exact reason. wall to wall winter with really no warm spells til march. That never happens around here.
  14. An old fashioned ice winter you say? Sent from my SM-S731U using Tapatalk
  15. Garbage model, but it’s fun to look at. Roll that forward a few days .
  16. Does the 4.3" at Central Park count as the streak being broken or did the timing mess with that again?
  17. Whoa! Incredible photo. Where was it?
  18. Damn it feels good to see that everyone did well with this storm!
  19. Damn, that’s a stunner!
  20. 0.29" liquid and 0.25" ice accretion. Roads might be fine (not so much here off the beaten path), but the driveway is solid ice and as the melting commences, that liquid is an excellent lubricant. Pretty bad ice storm for these parts in my opinion!
  21. DFW should end up tying the record high minimum for today (62*F).
