You guys are crying over spilled milk. I'm still waiting!! NWS says 70% for me after 5 pm. Graf says 48%. I say 20%.........................

the NBA basically ended the Clippers good god

Well it affects us too. Can't have nice crisp fall weather with a death ridge planted just to our southwest. All it would take is the ridge to move east just a tiny bit and we'd also torch.

Septorcher 2026 Discussion - Endless Summer

The most obvious consequence has been the absence of any sort of winter weather in march. 7 torch snowless marches in the northeast in a row. -
Yep. 95 again today here.

That was one of the more spectacular forcasting fails in a while. Decided to go kayaking on the Nissy with a friend. Checked the radar and bailed after 40 minutes. Now I'm stuck drinking beer and eating pub food while I watch the torrent running down Main Street. Oh, the humanity!

2026-2027 Record-breaking El Nino

If you're referring to the Eps, I agree. Except you can see a dip in the height lines in the GOA not too far from the one on the Geps. Suggesting maybe it might be showing some blue in the GOA in future runs....OK, look real hard then! Lol -

I find it odd that we can't develop storms tomorrow afternoon. NAM actually swings some decent s/w energy through during peak heating. NAM actually develops QPF between 18z-21z into western sections and then it goes poof. -
Pesky omega block. Those things do not let up unless they are torn apart somehow. Delayed start to fall for those of us to our south and west. We appear to be on the fringe of it and thus will be only slightly AN.

2026-2027 Record-breaking El Nino
LakePaste25 replied to Stormchaserchuck1's topic in Weather Forecasting and Discussion
1+2 has been marching back upward and the 20C isotherm in the subsurface itself has still been pressing deeper in the 1+2 region (i can’t show the GIF here due to file size limits), so if anything it’s been getting even more east-based despite Nino 3.4 flattening. I am keeping an eye out for a sudden jump in 3.4 because of this. -
There were very frequent and long 3-4 second flashes last night, and then some positive CG with the loud thunder today as well. Over an inch of rain past 24 hours.
