  1. Past hour
  2. Little windy but nothing to brag about. Ended up with .49" for the day. Very humid out there today.
  3. Rough day in the foothills. Lots of damage in both Burke and Caldwell counties. The dam at Rhodhiss is now open, which will spell even more damage downstream. I haven’t seen this lake in such rough shape outside of Helene. I went down to the neighborhood docks a bit ago and it smells awful - not a sewage scent but a rotted plant/earth smell. Furniture, trees, you name it coming down the waterway. Chocolate milk brown as you can imagine.
  4. DQ should be fired after this. That was pathetic. In FG range with 40 seconds left and don't get off a kick. This is amateur hour
  5. 0.90" in the gauge at 5 pm, so added to the 2.18" from 7 am CoCoRaHS I've crossed the 3" mark for the event at 3.08". Still a drizzle/mist falling, with a quick shower mixing in at times. Current 59.9/59.4 is the high for the day so far.
  6. Yes, I eclipsed the 3 inch mark too. Maybe this is a sign of what's to come in our colder months in the very near future.
  7. 2.94” in Lancaster. Almost at 3” mark. .
  8. Torrential rain here All day like this
  9. Wow October 2011 must have been absolutely amazing in Chicago! Record heat too? And how high were the SST in 1780 to get so much tropical activity? Were any of those Cat 5 and does it beat 1933 for tropical activity? And how close did the snow get to here in the 1804 snow hurricane? No 2024 was the record holder my favorite October of all time. It's absolutely disgusting here. This is the ugliest day since Memorial Day weekend. 2010 now that was a hot summer as was 1949 wow it was still setting records in the middle of October. Chicago's hottest summers are similar to ours. October 2024 was so much warmer than this and also much drier my ideal month with 0 rainfall and no heat being used unlike this October. Stop complaining you're way too young to remember actual heat. Yes there has been NO torch. Some people are too young to remember hot weather. It's an ugly ugly day. There is no "torching " I've had my heat on since the middle of August. You're way too sensitive to warm weather. Lol worse here it was 48 degrees with heavy rain here most of the day. But Happy Birthday Ant!!! It looks like a tropical storm passed through here I have to pick up fallen lawn decorations tomorrow. This is by far the worst weather since Memorial Day weekend. I like to think that creatures recognize living energy for what it is. This very friendly Blue Jay has been visiting me right at my bedroom window to wake me up.
  10. Cams consistent with late evening heavy convection. Forecast soundings show elevated instability and support the possibility of thunder.
  11. I lost interest in the emotional side of being a commanders fan over the last 5 years. I dont watch every game or care much about the outcome remotely as close as I used to.... but omg wtf was that S lol. How can the entire team and staff in the booth make such a blunder?!? This one got under my skin for the first time in years. What a debacle
  12. That was the most hilarious brain fart by like 20 different people at the same time
  13. Ladies and gentlemen, your 2026 Washington Commanders. The Giants players jumping around for a tie was amusing.
  14. Ha! Washington just said to the Eagles, “hold my beer.”
  15. Commanders wut, lolol Man that was the most Cowboys way to lose a game ever, haha

  18. Throw in the Eagles coach as a bonus
  19. Nice to have an event that over performs. Just passed the 3" mark with more to come.
  20. 48 and pounding rain . Brutal . Colder today than most of the winter rainstorms coming
