  1. Past hour
  2. Only 85 here and we have a heat advisory lol. Dim sun through pinkish overcast. Not going to make Upton's 93
  3. The thick smoke has moved out but wow, the thickest smoke layer I have ever seen. Below is the Nest Cam time lapse. It started around 9am. At that time we had the cirrus overhead with the MCS but skies were basically clear after that. The temperature has jumped 7F in the past hour. 82/69 I'm not sure why the camera was changing the hue of the sky. Maybe to adjust for the darkness? https://video.nest.com/clip/3886a63d346441b9a07cb5463627d987.mp4
  4. Looking really smoky outside. Made it to 90 here though.
  5. Might have 6 days in July that hit 100+ if the temps on Wednesday and Thursday are to be believed
  6. This is crazy too, but over the Atlantic, granted hour 288 but still.
  7. Can we make this our predominant set-up this winter?
  8. Sorry you cant say that Acting as if mid 90s possibly 100 heat is minimal..pre smoke forecast
  9. The 00z sounding from last evening had the highest 500mb height on record at Minneapolis (1957-forward).
  10. Easily 1 - 3 degrees at this rate.
  11. NYC is forecast to hit 100 degrees tomorrow. I think that's a heatwave with today, Thursday and Friday projected to hit 90+.
  12. I remember a nasty storm on the Jersey shore in early July of 2012. One of the worst thunderstorms I've seen with high winds and a ton of lightning. I remember hearing that someone jumped off the sky ride in Seaside when it blew through. My avatar photo is from the storm with the crazy mammatus afterward.
  13. I don't think you can even consider this to be an actual heat wave - maybe a minimal heat wave - nothing compared to 2 weeks ago
  14. Yea. It’s one of those escarpment rainy days where hardly anything shows on radar but I’m just staying under steady rain all day.
