  3. People think Super Nino means warm too automatically. The NAO/AO play a role, and if you map N. Pacific 500mb anomalies historically with Super Nino's you will see a N. Pacific trough placement in the cold season where it is usually doesn't extend a 2nd wave ridge so far east.
  4. Nothing defies the laws of physics lol. July will be the 6th consecutive month of -PNA, and projections through August 15 put it about -0.5 for the month by then. Do we make 7 in a row?
  5. ...the NY Jets have a lot of "interesting" tidbits in their history including how the owners of the Jets being concerned about the team being referred to as the plural of your name.. I think you will enjoy this.. https://www.newyorkjets.com/news/out-with-the-old-in-with-the-new-2411290 I now return one and all to discussing the SUPER EL NINO of 26-27...
  6. I truly would laugh so hard if we end up getting a solid winter out of this event just so I can stop seeing the repetitive posts on here.
  7. Truly a great retention year all things considered. Low starting point was unfortunately the worst thing to happen. I do however worry as we go into spring/summer of next year after the heat release from this ENSO event unfolds but will have to wait and see how things evolve.

  9. This was released today, but doesn't include yesterday and today
  10. Turned out to be a great day! Mostly sunny, low humidity. Had all the windows open with that nice breeze. Time to get a campfire going.
  11. I'll be joining your ranks tomorrow for a day trip to the Dolly Sods wilderness! I've hiked a bit of Red River in the winter but had to turn back due to the stream crossing. Now I plan to explore the upper marsh/meadow area.
  12. A few quick 2 minute downpours today dropped .12". May get a couple more
  13. Nice picture! Love how the falls are surrounded by green. Here is the same area in January, quite the difference!
  14. Had a 15 minute light shower here, wasn't expecting it. Pretty humid out.
  15. ERC #3 very much under way. Any idea what the record is for most ERCs? Gotta think four would be near impossible
  16. Eh. By winter I sorta enjoy the long nights. But only for a little while. By end of January or so I want daylight.
  17. Today
  18. Another .26” today to bring the month to 9.80”.
  19. Classic developing Niño summer pattern kicking in. If it had started 6 weeks earlier, we might be comparing this summer to 2004 or 2009.
  20. It takes a certain breed to be able to deal with these cases and even then there are just cases like this that break anyone. My heart broke the day when this all brought to the forefront. Yeah, she did this but there could be case studies done as to what brought this woman to do what she did. She’s not the first we’ve seen do this either. We need to take a hard look at these cases as see what it is that triggers these.
  21. I would be fine without Summer ever again Really looking forward to cooler days and nights
  22. Had a high of 75 degrees and a current temp of 62 degrees!
  23. Even though I love winter, I do love summer. So this saddens me a bit.
