I'm not trying to crap on the foliage crew...it just wasn't that spectacular here.   Oaks are what 60% of this area and most are still green   The past couple days they've gone more green/yellow.  If you're in areas with varied species I guess it looked good

I don’t make anything out…I say what I see.  And why would anybody say it’s beautiful, if it wasn’t?  I certainly wouldn’t.  
 
Now I guess one can say maybe I live in an area with alot of maples that provide good color.  But as I said…drove down the shore yesterday, and it was stunning all the way down.  
 
Last year it ended up excellent too.  I think more posters agree with me on this, than you. You live where there are alot of oaks…so color is duller where you are, so maybe that’s why you say it’s dull every year.  No matter who you ask….they’re gonna tell you the color this year has been fabulous, because it has.

As usual, the foliage around here varies with random species of trees. I thought the maples this year looked great, better than I can remember for a while. The oaks are turning, but the Oaks always suck.
I don’t know what species there are that turn this vibrant, yellow, maybe Hickory? But those have been bright this year.

I agree about oaks. There is a hillside on I-89 here just before you get to the Waterbury exit that is almost entirely oak and it’s so dull every year compared to what surrounds it.

Yeah I have a lot of oaks here locally. Strong trees but ugly regarding foliage. I do have a couple on the property that change to red which is nice.

Very windy run earlier with leaves flying . Mild too at 48 for the low

foliage has been relatively good here, and along 90 and 91; 495 out of Worcester was pretty good Sunday morning 

glad there aren't many oaks in the yard, they aren't particularly colorful and don't look as nice as the others in the fall, not to mention the acorns, which the squirrels and chipmunks take care of around here

36/35 dead calm and clear, chipmunks are chirping loudly this morning
