And everyone is already +2 to +4 MTD. People have forgotten what a normal month feels like. CON’s record for tomorrow is 34° in 1982. That doesn’t even seem possible today.

Who's everyone? Hartford?

They kept asking where’s the torch and we’ve been telling them everyday. It’s been here all month everywhere  and continues to ramp up !

There is no torch. Torches are hot. Require air conditioning.

-2 to 4 last winter was epic cold, but +2 to 4 in summer is nbd. I’ll agree…there hasn’t been any big heat, but it goes to show you where our baseline is right now.

Well said. No arguing the baseline.

yeah, I've needed AC - but only in the car

house hasn't needed it; windows and fans at night, had a fleece vest on this morning (62/61F at 6:30 am) wheeling the cans to the curb for Friday pickup

currently 76/65F IMBY

Same, I’ll use AC in the car but at home just fans and open windows for the most part.

BDL is the coolest relative to normal in the region.

Somehow BTV is only +0.5 but MPV is +2.8.

Lack of radiating hurting some sites, but BTV has no radiating anyway so doesn’t seem to matter there.  Though the past week has tried to mute the positive departures.

I think 8/20 starts the "peak" of the ATLC season, and goes throug 9/10.

ACE is only 16% S-T-D.

Yes. I've written a peak season forecast annually that covers that period through October 20. I know you know this, but between 8/20 and 10/20 about 2/3 of usual Atlantic activity occurs, and we've had some big dogs in October in the Atlantic. Hoping to get that out tonight or tomorrow.

I have window ACs at my apartment and I set them to a temp typically 68-70F. They’ve been off majority of the nights these past few weeks with the cooler temps. Off currently. Just have fans going and windows open.

If I had to guess , I likely had my air conditioners installed for 3 weeks this year. Much prefer window fans if possible. I spend 90% of my waking hours outdoors. Just received my energy update for July. National grid probably thinks I'm tapping someone else's power line.
