ChescoWx
Fox 29 in Philly posted the below graphic for Philadelphia at the PHL Airport regarding "heat wave" days. I have also posted the same analysis for Chester County since 2020. Of note 10 of the Chester County stations have had the same or less than the 7 heat waves at PHL this year over the entire 2020's! Jns2183
Sometimes the hardest part of reading about past disasters is having enough imagination to truly grasp the power of nature. if you ever were curious about the Johnstown flood than go watch the video coming out today about Glacial damn flood in Nepal and China. Especially the one at the border with giant building that gets engulfed. Sent from my SM-S731U using Tapatalk

Unlike Johnstown though a bunch of rich pricks didn’t essentially cause it.

pawatch
Just waiting to see how much rain we get today. Currently 62 degrees River is still a mess.
Mount Joy Snowman
Low of 68 with .01" of rain. Curious to see how things set up today.
ChescoWx
We had a brief shower this morning, but showers will become more widespread later this afternoon and into the night with the ChescoWx model predicting 0.44" of rain by midnight tonight. We start to clear up tomorrow and start a steady warming trend with our peak warm days looking to be next Monday and Tuesday. However, any 90+ days look unlikely especially for the ridge locations. I suspect we have already seen our last "heat wave" across the county.

Voyager
With all the storms around, north, east, and south, I'm going to somehow end up in a stabilized atmosphere with only a few rain showers. Seen it too many times not to believe it to be true.
Voyager
Pop up storm from my backyard. It is, however, in the wrong quadrant. Right is north in the photo, so it's moving away from us. Got a few raindrops out of it.

Just a light shower here in HBG lol - it’s missed the city mostly entirely. The lightning to the NW is epic

Wild, crazy storm that seems to be “training” over Marysville. Torrential rain, thunder, lightning, & light hail mixed in as well! Over 1.5 inches of rain in the last 30 minutes & counting. it looks like a river is running down the street!

This storm just won’t quit, just as soon as it looks to be moving away, it has been back building right in my vicinity. Heavy rain with thunder & lightning continue… Rain total 2.46 & counting, all in the last 1 hour & 20 minutes.
