We basically had wall to wall arctic cold from late November into the 1st couple of days of March. We had major snowstorms starting in December, a record breaking blizzard and months of constant snow cover. Also had frozen over lakes for months. By far and away the best winter since 2014-15. I can’t believe people are actually upset that it’s ending

The 2/22-23 storm was a classic Archembault event...the pattern broke shortly thereafter (some places had the clipper on 2/25) but that was pretty much it.

No worries here along the coast. Windy with some beneficial rain coming. Keep chipping away at the drought and fill up the reservoirs.

Not sure where exactly you're located, but Toms River is definitely on the Eastern edge of the threat area, hence the tornado watch.

Up to 68 in Perth Amboy and most of coastal Monmouth County and Western Staten Island now pushing 70 degrees. Meanwhile Coney Island and the rest of the Long Island barrier islands are stuck in the mid to upper 40's. The warm front is into central New England but the wind is mostly Southerly. Some surface based instability is building just to our SW. I know the HRRR isn't particularly enthusiastic East of Morristown, but there is potential for a quick spin up ahead of the main squall line.

It's 58 here. 2 miles east it's 47. Will be a nothing burger east of 95 and 287.

Power's out yet again. Same substation that's been having issues for the last 2 years now. It's almost a weekly basis at this point. Each time it puts downtown and around 3500 residents out of power. 

Remind me what I'm paying a $550 electric bill for?
