Well I know we dont do severe here. So there is no point once the winter is over. Although I did post a tornado that ran through my hood a few years ago. It was invigorating.

Not expecting much but I think people are ignoring this because they are done with winter. Most models showing a period of at least light snow Monday afternoon before a pause and mix-y stuff into Tuesday morning. Kinda doubt I see anything in the city but .5-1” for folks doesn’t seem unreasonable… ignoring the plausible glaze of ice.

The 12Z NAM twins indicate there may be a narrow swath of light snow somewhere in the region tomorrow afternoon. Favored areas appear to be west of DC for now. This is before a potential light mix overnight into Tuesday morning.

The primary question to be resolved regards the impacts for the Tuesday morning rush hour.    Monday afternoon definitely has potential for a coating of snow, and surfaces will be cold after temps fall into the 20s tonight, but I would think that daylight would mitigate road issues Monday afternoon.    Models agree, however, on a batch of light-ish precip arriving later Monday night, favoring some sort of snow to sleet to freezing rain sort of progression before going to plain rain.    The timing is favorable for road impacts, but guidance now suggests that it won't be as cold Monday night as initially forecasted.    Would still expect at least some impacts on roads, north and northwest of the cities at a minimum.
