Chicago916
On the reals though, this probably is the most under the gun such a large area of the sub has been in since the Washington, IL outbreak (ignoring derechos). Could be a busy day. Going to be some lol worthy rrfs runs starting today. LR NAM already going crazy in NIL with STP.
KeenerWx
Expansion of slight risk today into portions of the sub. Suppose the possibility of mildly spicy storms makes up for the blowing dust we have to contend with today.

cyclone77
Quite a bit of thunder out of these tiny high-based cells. See-through fall streaks of rain beneath high-based updrafts, and quite a bit of lightning. Getting some 40mph gusts beneath one right now, but rain is pretty wimpy.
Jackstraw
We had hail around midnight last night again. Pea to dime size so just loud. I've had more storms with hail this late winter/early spring than any single period I can remember. Think last night was the 5th time its hailed since Feb. Most of it like last night. One storm had some 1/2 to 1 inchers. Maybe this month will get exciting towards the end and the beginning of June.

buckeye
the storms locally on Saturday afternoon were the most destructive of the season, so far, (at least around the northern burbs of CMH). Out driving around for work today and lots of downed trees. A house on our street with moderate damage to the roof from a large tree going down. Once again, it always seems like our best severe comes when there's virtually no hype beforehand.
