Consistency? Dude, we've barely gotten an inch or two. Leave your opinions on the storm for 12 pm tomorrow. It's depressing how negative people are.

Take a fucking breath and re-read the posts before snapping off. Christ. He was discussing the moisture content of the snow! He was literally being the opposite of negative.

As of 5 pm, we have 1.5" of new snow, so 1" the last hour and we're still at 31F. All roads now covered, as expected.

As of 6 pm, we have 2.5" of snow, so another 1" last hour it's snowing at moderate+ whatever that is.  Temp still 31F.  Very pretty snow coating everything including the trees since the first inch or so was pretty wet and it stuck, despite ~15 mph winds with gusts to 20-25 mph now.

Thank you for understanding and explaining instead of biting my head off for no reason.
No prob! I work and live in the Chicago area (NWS met at WFO Chicago/LOT) but I grew up in Queens in NYC and started my career at OKX. Wish I could be there to experience this one but happy to offer insight to any questions about the storm.

Aww mayne the memories this graphic brings to this 42 year old man eyes. The simpler days are truely missed.

If you really want nostalgia, try out this link.  Uses your location and current NWS forecast to create a spot-on 1980s TWC local update.  Amazing.

yikes this really cutting back for western sections and nw nj

I know it's hard to keep up with every model, so just a heads up this just moved way west. Canadian models have been out of sync with short term guidance all week. So this is it catching up. Just follow HRRR. It's nailing it.

Man, if that would only move NE to near Block Island instead of fading eastward as fcst.  Thankfully system is bombing in a big way to help negate the less than perfect track for us of the N & W contingent.  Still hoping for some banding to help us out here in the NW Jersey area.  Riding with my 12-18" fcst.

Remember, this isn't a sprint. It's a marathon!! That 1st one will get you in the front of the pack though

yeah this is all quite confusing; someone will post something saying its going west, another will post that its cutting back.
